The office of the school nurse is located next to the school office. The focus of each School Health Nurse is to provide a safe and healthy environment your children while attending to their particular health needs. Their scope of services includes direct student care for acute and chronic illnesses and injuries, emergency response, preventative care, health education, case management, physician and family consultation, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Throughout the school year, we will conduct various health screenings, mandated by the State of Connecticut, for specific grade levels, i.e. vision, hearing and scoliosis. They regularly interface with faculty to ensure that your child will have the best possible experience while attending his/her school.
PLEASE BE SURE TO CONTACT THE NURSE,
IF YOUR CHILD HAS ANY UNUSUAL HEALTH ISSUES OR CONCERNS.
The nurse is available in the Nurse’s Office Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Notify the school by telephone, if your child will be absent. Please leave your name, the child’s name, your child’s teacher’s name and the reason for absence.
